Don’t forget your roots…

I only have a handful of pictures (and a few faded memories) of my childhood. But I make sure to keep these images with me, to remind me of who I am and how far I’ve come.

Born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin with blue-collar roots, I learned early on about the value of hard work—a core value behind everything I do today. I came from nothing, and I’ve worked for everything I have. 

For 20-plus years, I’ve cultivated an expanse of copywriting, content, PR and marketing communications experience across multiple platforms, developing and implementing print and digital initiatives, scripts, speeches, strategic content plans, branding and tone of voice guides, public relations efforts and everything in between—for a diverse group of business-to-business, business-to-consumer and business-to-government clients. I specialize in making the complex simple and the mundane marketable. In telling stories. And along the way, I found I also have a penchant for people and project management, plus cross-team collaboration.

I’m a doer, and throughout my career, I’ve stepped up and taken leading roles driving project teams, coaching and mentoring others and consistently delivering superior results. I’ve learned how to successfully navigate and balance getting work done while managing individuals and teams. And having worked on the freelance side, agency side and corporate side—as well as in higher education and the startup and tech worlds—I bring a well-rounded perspective to any table.

I’m a highly skilled writing expert with a skillset that expands well beyond writing alone. All my work and experience to date has prepared me well, and I’m ready to hit the ground running at a new career challenge.
